Last Day Hooray!

We decided to do a silly photo for our last one.  I will really miss this group of goofies!  I found our class this year to be so kind and compassionate towards each other and very hard workers.  I feel so blessed to be a teacher and lucky to have classes like this one to work with every day.  This week we had some fun; and some fun work.  On Monday we went outside to view nature using binoculars and magnifying glasses.  We then made nature prints and spent some time relaxing on blankets and reading.  On Field Day we were blessed with beautiful weather and a great program by Nickel City Reptiles.  Everyone enjoyed that, and some of our students were chosen to hold onto the boa constrictor!  (Not for me!)  On our last day we had  prayer service with some wonderfully uplifting songs led by the eighth graders.  It was  a great way to end our year.

We had to say goodbye to a few of our students.  They will both be going to other schools next year and we will miss them.  Maybe some of us will get together at the Monday summer play dates at Day Road Park.  I hope to show up at a few of them.  Don't forget to keep reading this summer.  The Lockport Library has a great summer program.  Keep practicing those math facts.  We worked so hard to learn them but if you don't use it- you lose it.  Thank you parents for entrusting your beautiful children to me and for your support throughout the year.  God bless.
