Lots of Photos!

Finally I took pictures of the opinion pieces the children wrote.  They researched an insect, gave an opinion about it, and stated reasons for those opinions.  Then they illustrated it with a water color.  It was a great writing activity.

For our science unit we ordered life cycles of the butterfly.

I was amazed by the creativity and work that went into the book report projects.  Each student presented their project to the class and it was displayed in the hallway.  They worked so hard on them, I wanted you to be able to enjoy them.

And now for photos of our field trip to Kelkenberg Farms.  Here Mrs. Kelkenberg is telling the students about the different barns.

Mr. Kelkenberg told us all about the horses before taking us on a hayride.

We stopped for a little lunch break- how nice that they had rockers!

I hope your child told you about the pony/miniature horse rides.

We cuddled right up to the goats.

Mrs. Kelkenberg told us all about the barn animals, especially the cow.  They make all of their dairy foods (butter, yogurt, cream, etc.) from the milk of their cow.

It was a great trip and the students were well behaved.  Thank you to all of the chaperones who came along.  I hope you had fun too.
